August 5, 2019 Announcement

The Garnett Passe and Rodney Williams Memorial Foundation warmly welcomes Professor Philip Truskett to the Board, taking over as the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) nominee from Professor John Harris.

Professor Truskett is a General Surgeon at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney, with an interest in Upper GI and HPB Surgery. He takes a great interest in education, and is an advocate for sustainable surgical service and professionalism. With such a prestigious skill-set and a desire to continue in this pursuit of excellence, Phil is a most welcome member to the Foundation.

Professor Harris – a Professor of Vascular Surgery at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, University of Sydney – has kindly served as Director of the Board since 2010, proving a steady font of knowledge for the Foundation, and paving the way for future Directors. He has always brought a considered and fair view to Board proceedings, with a great understanding of the needs of surgeons, from trainees to retirees. We wish John well in all his future endeavours.
