This Award will be on offer during the 2021 Award Round.

Purpose

To support Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgeons and accredited surgical trainees in OHNS in building research capability and undertaking research projects with relevance to clinical application, through the provision of funding towards the employment of a part-time research assistant, research nurse or graduate student.

Term of award

Up to two (2) years.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria are specified in the Terms and Conditions of Award. These will be available when the Award Round opens.

Funding

The level of support will be up to AUD 50,000 per annum, all inclusive. The Grant must be administered through an Australian or New Zealand institution. Additional eligibility criteria for the Administering Institution and use of funding are listed in the Terms and Conditions of Award.

How to apply

Applications are open during the annual Award Round, with outcomes being communicated in December. Applications must be submitted online via the GPRWMF Application Portal, which can be accessed through this website. Please note that this Award may not be offered every year. Awards on offer will be announced on the GPRWMF website during June and July.

  • Details of all research funding received, in addition to applications pending or to be submitted within the year for the Applicant

Applications open annually between early July and late August, with outcomes being announced in December.

Exceptions to this are: 1. Academic Surgeon-Scientist Research Scholarship: supervisors are announced on the Foundation website in February, with applications being aligned with the SET application process. 2.
