A warm welcome to Professor Mary Wlodek

The Trustees of the Passe & Williams Foundation are delighted to introduce to you newly appointed Board Director, Professor Mary Wlodek.

Mary is an inspirational and visionary research leader and executive whose research expertise informs global understanding of how early life environments impact lifelong health and disease risk. She is a highly respected, recognised and accomplished research fundraiser and researcher, and regularly reviews for national/international grant agencies including NHMRC (Investigator and Ideas grant panels).

Mary’s role as the Foundation’s seventh Board Director will include assessing Applications and the granting of the Foundation’s Awards. As per the Foundation’s Trust Deed, the Board must comprise of a “minimum of six and no more than eight” Directors, deliberately chosen to ensure a wealth of expertise and knowledge from both medical and non-medical backgrounds. This ensures a robust mix of minds devoted to pursuing excellence for the Foundation. As an internationally recognised world leader in Developmental Origins of Health and Disease research, Mary will bring fresh insight into furthering the Foundation’s mission.
