Professor Colette McKay elected fellow of prestigious academy

Congratulations to Alumni Colette McKay for her election as Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences (AAHMS).

Colette is Professor at the Bionics Institute, where she leads a team in translational hearing research. Her internationally renowned work includes development of the cochlear implant, and innovations in infant hearing research, with expertise ranging across psychophysics, electrophysiology, imaging, speech perception, speech processing and mathematical modelling.

Now standing at a total of 425, AAHMS fellows are elected by their peers, “recognising the brightest minds in health and medical sciences across a range of fields, including research, industry and more.” Fellows are called on to offer expert advice to decision-makers of health policy.
