Professor Adrienne Torda is a distinguished leader in medical education, clinical medicine, and academic leadership. As the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH) and Head of the School of Clinical Medicine at UNSW Sydney, she leads transformative initiatives in medical education and healthcare. From October 2023 to July 2024, she showcased exceptional leadership as the Interim Dean of FMH, further solidifying her reputation as a visionary in the field.
In addition to her leadership roles, Professor Torda is a specialist in Infectious Diseases and holds an honorary position at Prince of Wales Hospital. She brings her expert knowledge to global platforms, serving as a clinical assessment expert for the World Health Organization (WHO) from 2023 and on the Australian Vaccine Committee of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) 2017-2024.
A globally recognized figure in medical education and innovation, Professor Torda has earned numerous accolades, including the prestigious AAUT National Citation Award for Excellence in Education and the UNSW Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
