Dr. Nuwan Dharmawardana
Dr Dharmawardana is a surgical trainee of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, training towards a fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He has maintained a research profile for the past decade with experience in cochlear purinergic signalling pathways, validation of virtual-reality sinus simulators and formal training in systematic review methods.
The Garnett Passe Rodney William Memorial Foundation, Surgeon Scientist PhD Scholarship has facilitated a biomarker discovery project for detection of head and neck cancer, by analysing breath, blood and microbiome of patients.
