Dr. Debottam Sinha

Dr. Debottam Sinha is a dedicated cancer researcher with over seven years of experience in academic research, specializing in cancer biology and cell signalling. His research focuses on developing novel therapies for solid tumours, addressing drug resistance, and exploring strategies to overcome chemotherapy resistance. After completing his PhD at Griffith University in 2018, Debottam pursued his first postdoctoral research at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute before joining Prof. Ian Frazer’s group at the Frazer Institute, University of Queensland, in 2022. He is currently leading a research program that employs cutting-edge omics platforms to understand the molecular mechanisms of aggressive head and neck cancers, with the goal of rationalizing improved treatment options.

Over the past decade, Dr. Sinha has led numerous research projects that have advanced the understanding of cancer biology, particularly in the areas of the cell cycle, molecular target identification, and therapeutic interventions. His scholarly output includes 33 publications across articles, reviews, editorials, and conference papers, indexed in reputable databases such as Scopus. The impact of his work is reflected in over 900 citations and an h-index of 13. Debottam remains committed to pushing the boundaries of cancer research and developing therapies that can significantly improve patient outcomes.
