Dr. Brent McMonagle

Dr. Brent McMonagle

Doctor McMonagle was born and raised on the Gold Coast, graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1996. He underwent advanced surgical training in ENT surgery in Queensland, receiving his surgical fellowship in 2004. Brent then undertook additional training in Sydney, London, and Adelaide in the areas of otology, neurotology, lateral skull base surgery, advanced sinus surgery, and endoscopic skull base surgery.

Brent has established a bone anchored hearing aid (Baha) and cochlear implant (CI) program on the Gold Coast, and also introduced image guidance surgery for endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery to the Gold Coast. He was a founding member of the Gold Coast Hospital Head and Neck Cancer Clinic.

Brent is also involved in research on otitis media, and smell & taste disorders. He has published numerous articles on basic science and clinical research, book chapters, and presented both nationally and internationally.
