A/Prof. Jenny Ekberg
Jenny Ekberg, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Neurophysiology at Menzies Health Institute Queensland, Griffith University. She leads a research team developing cellular nerve bridges to repair nerve injuries, including peripheral nerve injury and spinal cord injury. Jenny’s research also focuses on how certain pathogens can invade the central nervous system, and how such infections can contribute to neurodegeneration. Jenny has a background in glial biology, electrophysiology, drug discovery and pain research, and got her PhD from The University of Queensland in 2005.
